Uji-Matcha Cafe

One of my favorite matcha spots in the city! The quality is always on point, and I love that they offer the option to have a stronger tasting matcha. The vibe of the place is cozy, too! Highly recommend if you’re a matcha lover!

They don't have any food yet but they do have a sign at the entrance that they will allow outside food temporarily. The matcha I drank was authentic. One of the best matcha lattes I have had. Free wifi access Shared restroom for both genders. Nice!

The owner takes great effort in sourcing quality matcha and keeping it affordable for students. We’re lucky to get to try their drinks just after they restocked. Permanently adding this to every baguio itinerary. Pistachio matcha latte- the highlight for me! Perfect blend of pistachio cream and umami rich high quality matcha. I’d pay way moore for this so don’t miss out!

I’m a HUGE fan of matcha and I can assure you guys that this place is a fantastic matcha spot. You can upgrade to a high-grade matcha (kurai) which I did. I had a Strawberry Matcha Latte with Baguio strawberries. Super loved it It’s like Matcha Tokyo in BGC or Chotto Matcha in Makati, you can really taste the quality. The place is quite small but it has a nice ambiance, friendly staff and wifi if you need to work a bit. They also allow outside food since they don’t have their own kitchen. I brought a Chicken Wasabi burger. Tasted good with my matcha The only complaint is that the wooden seats are not comfortable so you won’t spend lots of time there, for sure. Also, the cafe is pretty far from my preferred places in Baguio like Camp John Hay or Burnham Park (but it’s still walkable from the park, I checked) Will go back to Uji Matcha Cafe when I visit Baguio next time P.s They have cute receipts!

Really good matcha we’ve tried in Baguio. We got the Houjicha Latte and Spanish Matcha Latte with Kurai. They really use high grade matcha and it had an umami flavor. The best!

THE MATCHA MENU IS A TOP-TIER! They use a really good quality ceremonial matcha imported from Kyoto, Japan. Considering it's quality, the price point is actually so affordable. It's the coziest matcha place I've visited! I'm in love with its japandi interior design, complemented by the use of artichoke green. The choice to use only real indoor plants adds a refreshing and uplifting touch to the space. I had the chance to meet the owner, Mr. Ismael, he was cool and accommodating, along with his friendly staff, they really give the place a fun and vibrant ambiance. The only con is that it can get quite loud and crowded as groups of students often gather to study or hang out, but that’s understandable. After all, a busy atmosphere is great for business! The cafe is located right in front of SLU main gate, so students are their core market. Highly recommended for matcha lovers out there. Will definitely keep on coming back!

Matcha drinks were excellent especially at its price point. Staff and owner are very accommodating and let us tried their special drinks prior to its launch. This place is a must visit in Baguio.

best authentic matcha for an affordable price!! I tried their iced matcha latte. we went here during their soft opening and the cafe is full. despite the overwhelmingly large crowd, the staff are very accommodating and friendly. will surely come back ~~
